About Alex
Hi, I'm Alex, the person behind KirkUP Coaching, and someone who has been exactly where you are.
I'm currently a fourth-year Biomedical Science student at the University of Guelph with three years of tutoring experience and a background as a fourth-year Anatomy Mentor. I wrote the MCAT after my second year and scored a 519, wrote my CASPer in 2025 and scored in the 4th quartile, and in my first application cycle received interview invitations from every Ontario school I applied to: Queen's, McMaster, Toronto, Western, and Ottawa.
I know what it feels like to stare down an overwhelming syllabus, to not know where to start with MCAT prep, and to pour your heart into a medical school application. That's exactly why I built KirkUP Coaching: because I believe that with the right support, every student is capable of more than they think.
